PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGN 2010

Which Course Expo 2010 will be promoted via an extensive marketing campaign that will encompass online, radio, national press, outdoor, DART and buses throughout Dublin and surrounding counties. In addition, a highly-focussed public relations drive will ensure coverage for Which Course on TV, press and radio.

MEDIA SPONSORS

The Irish Times
The Irish Times have, once again, joined forces with Learning Ireland to become Media Sponsor of Which Course Expo 2010. The Irish Times has a long-established reputation for quality, particularly in the area of education. Which Course Expo will benefit from extensive exposure in the Irish Times in the run up to the event on August 28th & 29th which will include advertising in the Irish Times itself and in its various supplements, in the Gazzette Group of newspapers, Herald Metro AM and online on the Irish Times websites, which include www.ireland.com, www.entertainment.ie and www.myhome.ie

Dublin's 98FM
This year, Dublin's 98FM has come on board as Media Sponsor of Which Course. Dublin's 98FM is the leading radio station in Dublin, with the largest market share of any music radio station in the city. (* JNIR) Dublin's 98 FM is particularly strong amongst 20 to 44 year olds, which will provide a boost to footfall in this age bracket for this year's Expo. In addition to an extensive radio advertising campaign in the run up to the event on August 28th & 29th, 98FM will also broadcast live from Which Course Expo from the 98FM Thunderbus. Apart from the boost to the atmosphere that this will provide at the event, it will also be an invaluable way to attract Dubliners to the event on the day.

Other Marketing
In addition to the extensive exposure to be provided by The Irish Times and Dublin's 98FM, the Which Course event will also be promoted in the following manner:

  • Cinema advertising on screens throughout Dublin city and county.
  • Outdoor advertising on DART and Buses promoting the event
  • Extensive promotion to the 160,000 monthly users of Nightcourses.com and to the 40,000 registered users of the websites, the majority of whom have expressed an interest in taking a course in 2010.
  • Promotion in The Guide to Nightcourses', released into bookstores and newsagents throughout Dublin and surrounding counties in July. For 2010, there will be a special Expo section, detailing the contents of this year's event. 25,000 copies of the Guide are sold throughout Dubin every year, with a further edition released for Leinster, including the commuter belt area.
