Venue
With a history of promoting agriculture, the arts, industry and science dating back to 1731, the RDS (Industries Hall) is an apt choice as venue for Which Course 2011.
The RDS comprises over 20,000 sq/m of space and is one of the most versatile venues for exhibitions, conferences and major events in Ireland. Ten multi-purpose exhibition halls, ranging in size from 340 sq/m to 11,000 sq/m, are all situated on ground floor allowing for easy access. Industries Hall was originally build in the grounds of Leinster House and was moved in 1921 to the grounds of the RDS.
The RDS has 50 years' experience hosting conferences. Events held there last year include: BT Young Scientist & Technology Show, Toys for Big Boys, Meteor Awards, Top Gear, a Bruce Springsteen concert and many more. The 18,000 seated Arena is also home to Leinster Rugby.
The RDS has also been home to Which Course, Ireland's largest and longest-running adult course fair, since the Expo's first appearance in 2008.
Location is a key advantage to the RDS. It is just a 15-minute walk from Trinity College, and features excellent public transport links, taxi ranks, and over 2,000 car park spaces.
